Chris joined the Castle Dairy in 2016 after cooking professionally for more than 18 years. His exceptionally high standards have been honed by his time spent in 3AA rosette and Michelin-starred hotels and restaurants across the UK, which means his ambitions for the Castle Dairy and its apprentices are high. Originally from Kent, Chris has been in Cumbria since 2012 and lives in Kendal with his wife, Bex and dog, Logan.

Jessica’s first role after graduating was at Les Bouviers in Wimborne before moving to Cheshire after gaining a place on a National Graduate Programme with Thwaites Hotels. After achieving the position of Assistant Operations Manager, Jessica moved to Luxury Family Hotels where she worked for 3 years.

Jessica recently relocated to Windermere with her partner.

John Kilmurray

John Kilmurray

Sous Chef

John joined the Castle Dairy in the summer of 2016 and is completing his Level 4 Certificate in Education & Training at Kendal College. Originally from Morecambe, John has worked in a few of the top hotels in the Lake District and Lancashire but credits the Castle Dairy as being the best place for someone to learn.

In his spare time, John enjoys walking in the Lake District.
